Electrical Impulses Fire in Brain Cancer Tumors

Researchers have discovered a new type of brain cell that fires electric impulses, challenging the long-held belief that only neurons can do so. These hybrid cells, part neuron and part glia, were found in both glioma tumors and healthy human brains.
